What to expect with our puppies

  • Vaccinated/ Dewormed

    All of our puppies will be fully up to date on their vaccinations and deworming schedules before they come home with you.

  • Microchipped

    All puppies come home microchipped, as collars and tags can easily become lost or broken.

  • Weekly Updates

    We will send pictures and/or videos of your puppy growing!

  • Visitation

    You may visit your puppy on a scheduled date. Available around 4 weeks of age. Only available to those who have placed deposits on their puppy.

  • Paperwork

    All owners will receive, along with their new fur baby, a folder containing all appropriate paperwork. We will also include a toy or a small blanket scented like mama.

FAQs

when can we bring our iw puppy home?

We don’t send our puppies home with you until after 8 weeks of age, after appropriate exposure to moms training and liver shunt testing.

will Tala’s IWs co-own the hound?

Unlike many breeders, we do not require a co-owning agreement. Your puppy is yours.

We do require that an agreement is signed that you will surrender the dog to us if, for whatever reason, you can no longer keep them. We understand that circumstances change.

We will claim responsibility for our puppies their whole lives.

Can we bring our friends and family to see our new puppy at visitation?

Absolutely!

Because we do conduct visitations in our home, we ask that you notify us how many will be accompanying you.

Do you require puppies to be neutered or spayed?

It differs from circumstance to circumstance. Often it is the better option- but will be discussed with each owner and agreed upon in contract.


What do you require of us?

From approved applicants, we ask a few things.

The first is access to your new puppy’s vet records throughout their lives. This helps add to our research for maintaining and potentially improving the health of our lines. Communication is what we ask!

And second; an agreement between you the buyer, and us, that your puppy will be returned to us in the event of a change of circumstances on your end, and whatever your contract includes.
